Welcome to my substack

Hello. I am taking down my Instagram, at least for a while, but I didn’t want to stop publicly complaining, so I thought I would make a substack. Besides, this format is probably better for my long-winded whines. At this very moment I have nothing in particular to complain about, but I wanted to launch the substack now so I can announce it on instagram before I take it down, and maybe get a few subscribers.

So, why should you subscribe? If you are interested in my music, or what I have to say about music, it would be a good idea.

Also, I am launching an interview/conversation series. The first subject is Jean-Luc Guionnet. He and I spoke for around three hours ostensibly about his music, but the conversation veered all over the place.

I made an edit of it the other day, but Jean-Luc still has to approve of it. Then I will post it.

What is substack actually? I don’t even really understand this platform. Do people read these things?
